The latest hires at ABPI, Ario, GenSight, and the non-profit bringing together big pharma R&D.
The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), a body representing UK biopharmaceutical companies, has appointed ex-Pfizer manager Christine Rowland to the newly created position of Value and Access Manager within the Commercial Department.
Rowland will work on projects increasing patient access to innovative medicines. She spent the past 12 years at Pfizer, where she worked across sales, marketing, HTA (Health Technology Assessment) and market access. Before joining the pharmaceutical industry 17 years ago, she worked as a nurse and midwife in the UK National Health Service.
Rowland’s work at ABPI will include the implementation of the PPRS (Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme), a five-year voluntary agreement with the UK government regarding the cost of branded medicines which came into effect in January 2014.
