Big Pharma has performed well in Climate Counts’ survey of companies’ environmental measures, with most regarded as having made good efforts but Wyeth and Amgen lagged behind.

AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson lead the way with scores of 76 and 75 out of 100 respectively and all others measured above 50 except Amgen and Wyeth.

Amgen was the worst of the pharmaceutical companies surveyed with a score of 20 but this is still better than companies in other sectors, such as Burger King that was given 0.

Climate Counts determines environmental commitment by looking at a companies’ efforts to measure and reduce their impact on the climate, support legislation aimed at reducing global warming and disclose their actions.
