SEA Vision says its HarleNir technology can identify errors on the manufacturing line, even if the product appears visually sound.

Last week, SEA Vision launched its Near Infrared Hyperspectral vision (NIR) system, the ‘HarleNir’. The technology is designed to ‘go beyond visible inspection’ when inspecting batches on the manufacturing line.

“Through integrated imaging technology, HarleNIR can distinguish products directly from their active ingredients and perform a chemical analysis to identify compounds with different active principle, different dosage or measure the active ingredient uniformity distribution inside products,” said business development manager, Paolo Landriani.

The news follows on from SEA Visions announcement in July this year, revealing plans to invest $1.5m (€1.3m) in new offices across the US, Germany, and Russia to meet demand for track and trace compliance technology.
