New CEPs for DSM and Aanjaneya Lifecare

- Last updated on GMT

The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM) issued a new batch of CEP for drug products.

Indian drugmaker Aanjaneya Lifecare Limited has received certificates of sustainability (CEP) for quinine sulphate and quinine hydrochloride, key ingredients in anti-malarial treatments.

The firm, which signed a quinine sulphate agreement with Israeli drugmaker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries earlier this year, said that the CEP opens the European market.

DSM was also granted a CEP this month for beta-carotene. In a press release the firm said that it sought the CEP in response to a customer request for use of the ingredients as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
