Hovione grows sales in 09
Consolidated sales at Hovione increased by 15 per cent to $144m (€110m) in fiscal 2009.
Recording this growth takes sales increases at Hovione over the past five years to 77 per cent. During this period it has expanded from three to five industrial plants.
In 2009 fiscal year Hovione acquired an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production plant in Cork, Ireland from Pfizer. Acquiring the Cork plant doubled Hovione’s quality production capacity.
Hovione also acquired an aseptic spray drying (ASD) manufacturing line and expanded production capacity of contrast agents ay its plant in Zhejiang Province in eastern China.
