Ohio-based QC industries claims its Flextrac plastic chain belt conveyer move loads of up to 500 lbs (227kg) over flat distances at speeds greater than competing products. The drive for greater efficiency and automation in plants is adding pressure or processors and packagers to upgrade their equipment. Conveyer belts allow firms to speed up operations, while reducing human contact with products, which in turn, reduces the risk of contamination. Conveyers are supplied as standard up to 30ft (9.1m), with lengths up to 100ft (30.5m) available, while belts widths can be between 4" (10cm) to 24" (61cm).
