Biotechnology service group SeqWright has entered into an agreement
with Fisher Scientific that combines SeqWright's services with
Fisher's scientific research products.

Biotechnology service group SeqWright has entered into an agreement with Fisher Scientific that combines SeqWright's genomic services with Fisher's scientific research products.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fisher will add DNA sequencing, library construction, SNP detection and other molecular biology services to its portfolio of scientific products and services. These services will be distributed in the United States and Puerto Rico.

"We plan to take full advantage of Fisher's market leadership and direct sales force. Both companies will benefit from the innovative addition of SeqWright's services to Fisher's offerings. This agreement will write a new chapter in the history of the sequencing industry,"​ said Fei Lu, CEO SeqWright.

Re-enforcing Lu's words, Walter Rausch, president of worldwide strategic sourcing and merchandising at Fisher Scientific added :"The addition of SeqWright's genomic services further reinforces our commitment to providing specialised support for key life-science applications."
