Gerresheimer grows operating profit in the second quarter

Gerresheimer reports its second quarter profit from operations has grown year-on-year from €11.8m ($15.1m) to €24.8m.

Improvement of the financial results was underpinned by “further solid growth of the pharma business”, said Gerresheimer. This helped Gerresheimer grow revenues year-on-year by 6.8 per cent, excluding the sold technical plastic systems business. Revenues totalled €268.8m.

 

"We want to remain on our profitable growth path. To this end we will push ahead with the globalisation of our business”, said Uwe Rohrhoff, CEO of Gerresheimer.

 

In response to the positive second quarter results Gerresheimer has slightly raised the lower limit of its 2010 revenue guidance.
