in-PharmaTechnologist presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma sector, including appointments at Sutro Biopharma Lundbeck and AmerisourceBergen.
Sutro Biopharma has made several senior appointments to further development of its open cell-free synthesis (OCFS) technology. Henry Heinsohn has been appointed as vice president (VP) of development and manufacturing.
Before joining Sutro Heinsohn worked at Genentech for 17 years, most recently as a senior scientist in process development.
Lesley Stolz has been appointed as VP of business development. Stolz joins the company from Sunesis Pharmaceuticals and has also worked at Aerovance, GPC Biotech AG and Cell Genesys.
In addition Dan Petree has been elected to Sutro’s board of directors.
Steven Collis has been appointed as executive VP of packaging business AmerisourceBergen. Collis was previously president of the company’s speciality group, a position he held since 1994.
Michael Mullen will now lead the speciality group as chief operating officer. Before taking the post Mullen was president of distribution at the speciality group.
Lundbeck has appointed Oscar Parra as manager of the company’s subsidiary in China. Parra was previously product manager at Lundbeck and prior to this worked at Fresenius Kabi.
VistaGen Therapeutics has appointed Shawn Singh as its CEO. Singh has previously worked at Cato BioVentures and has held senior positions at five other biotechs.
Ritchard Fishman has joined the scientific advisory board of Cannabis Science. Fishman established a medical practice in 1961 and since 1998 has been involved in clinical trials.
