Spanish Police say seized Viagra pills made in China and India

The 9,000 counterfeit Viagra tablets seized by Spanish police earlier this week at three properties in Alicante were imported from India and China, according to various media reports.

 

On June 9, El Mundo reported that four people had been charged with importing the fake pills and attempting to sell them over the internet.

The Policia Nacional believes that the accused were receiving as many as five shipments a week from counterfeiters in India and China, although further details of the investigation have not been released.

Pfizer, which makes Viagra, has not yet commented on the seizeure of the conterfeit versions.
