This week's People on the Move column sees leadership appointments at two major trade bodies, as well as senior hires at Sartorius and ImmunoGen.
The European Fine Chemicals Group (EFCG), a group within Cefic, the European Chemicals Industry Council, has made a series of senior changes, with the appointment of Heinz Sieger as President, Roger LaForce as VP and Hubert Stueckler as sector group manager.
Sieger, who is chairman of CU Chemie Uetikon, a German pharmaceutical producer, replaces Brian Murphy, President of Robinson Brothers, a UK-based Speciality Chemicals Manufacturer.
EFCG was formed in 2004 and represents 29,000 companies producing 20% of the world’s chemicals. Heinz Sieger spoke recently to in-Pharmatechnologist.com , warning that EFCG found European reliance on imports of active pharmaceutical ingredients “alarming”.
