The laboratory, which will be run by Chiral Technologies Europe, will specifically focus on providing small-scale contract chiral separation services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers’ toxicology testing and early drug development programmes.

The firm explained that the new lab provides a much needed boost to its separations capacity, which has become an increasingly popular service among pharma industry clients due to the rapid, high specification compound yields that it can provide.

The laboratory will also cater for the agrochemical, flavour and fine fragrance industries.
