Scotland's RS Biotech Laboratory has been acquired by US company New Brunswick Scientific for a combination of cash and notes.
Founded in 1991 and based in Irvine, Scotland, RS Biotech 's line of incubators sold under the Galaxy brand, bring in annual sales of around $3 million. New Brunswick said that the incubators will complement its portfolio of biological shakers, ultra-low temperature freezers, fermentors and cell culture equipment.
The US company did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition, but said that RS Biotech's sales would be immediately accretive to earnings.
