The patent, entitled “Topical Compositions for Prostaglandin E1 Delivery,” covers the technology through to 2019 and is the seventh the contract research organisation has been granted by the Israeli Patent Office (IPO).
NexMed CEO Bassam Damaj said: “This addition to our patent portfolio strengthens our intellectual property position and bolsters our ongoing partnering discussions for the licensing of our products in Israel and the Middle East."
It also a continuation of the expansion NexMed’s wider expansion strategy which, most recently, saw the firm sign a deal with team with Cosmo Bio to access the Japanese market.
