LabTechnologist.com brings you its periodic round up of new product releases, with new offerings from Jasco, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Shimadzu, Velocity11 and Waters.

Jasco has launched a new portable Raman spectrometer system, the RMP-210, which includes an integrated fibre optic probe allowing the remote measurements in any location.

The system is powerful enough for both laboratory work and on-site measurements allowing easy manufacturing process and quality control. The system also includes a CCD-TV camera to allow easy sample positioning and monitoring during measurements.

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced a new web-based interactive informatics assessment tool to help current and potential customers to choose the appropriate informatics software from Thermo's range.

The new tool is targeted at the analytical and laboratory markets and asks technical questions to help informatics experts select suitable laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and chromatography data systems (CDS).

Shimadzu and Phenomenome have launched an enhanced version of their global metabolomics profiling software, Phenomenome Profiler Plus, to support high accuracy MSn data.

The updates allow users to use the software with Shimadzu's LC/MS-IT-TOF (liquid chromatography / mass spectrometry ion trap time-of-flight) instrument.

"Phenomenome Profiler software has been further developed to work seamlessly with the LCMS-IT-TOF technology, supporting not only high mass accuracy MSn data streams, but also fast polarity switching," said Kozo Shimazu, deputy general manager for Mass Spectrometry and Life Sciences at Shimadzu Corporation.

"The new Phenomenome Profiler Plus software tools will help researchers view and interpret complex data sets quickly and with greater efficiency."

Velocity11 has expanded its range of Labware racks available for its BenchCel microplate handling system and VStack Labware stacker to better suit the diverse application needs of its customers.

The standard economy rack will be joined by a new slot-style rack and a front opening door-style premium rack.

The slot-style rack has been designed to allow users to load a stack of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) compliant labware by sliding them in from the top of the rack.

The new premium rack will be available in both standard and extra small for those who want the choice of loading labware either via the opening-door feature or the slot-style racks.

Waters has started to ship its NuGenesis Scientific Data Management System (SDMS) Viosion Publisher to help Quality Control (QC) laboratories optimise their data flows and reduce the risk of regulatory non-compliance.

The Vision Publisher allows laboratory workers to capture primary data from various laboratory devices and instruments and append that information to experimental records for any investigational or manufactured product.

The system also aids 21 CFR Part 11 compliance by including a number of predefined packages that enforce laboratory workflows as well as letting entire protocols to be automatically integrated into experimental write-ups to reduce errors and tedious manual write-ups.
