Honeywell has added to its portfolio of sensors and instruments with a dual analyser that monitors and controls process variables in the pharmaceutical and other process industries.
The UDA2182 carries out a range of measurements, including pH, oxidation/reduction potential (ORP), conductivity/resistivity or concentration, and dissolved oxygen concentrations, all of which provide information about the purity of process water.
Tackling all these variables with one unit is what differentiates the system from most other analysers on the market, according to Honeywell. Other features include: an LCD display providing continuous readout of process variables, alarm and diagnostic status; an infrared communications port for configuration via an IR port-equipped computer; and the ability to store multiple configurations for later review, modification or archiving.
"Because it can accept a wide variety of sensors, the UDA2182 cuts down on the inventory you need to stock," said the firm in a statement.
Common applications of this new technology include steam generation water quality, wastewater influent and effluent monitoring, pure water preparation and neutralisation, said Honeywell.
