British equipment supplier Isopak has launched a new pharmaceutical dosing filler system for powders and granules, quickly and accurately offering the doses required.
DSP-3 took over three years to develop and is designed for the precise application of products ranging from 10mg to 3.50 grams.
It can be used for dispensing a wide range of pharmaceutical and related applications in pharmaceutical trials, small-scale manufacture, micro-dosing and batch type productions.
The machine consists of three different sized calibrated dosing cylinders as standard and is also equipped with a 5-litre lower hopper, manufactured in borosylicone (pirex) glass, and upper hopper, made in stainless steel and supplied with bespoke stand.
The DSP-3 filler has a mixer which features variable speed control while precise management of the powder dispersal is achieved through an automatic regulator equipped with photocells, which provides a constant supply of powder or granules.
What is more, it can provide single and multiple dosages, perating at speeds of up to 30 dosages per minute.
A number of controls on the front panel allows the user to select the type of dosing cylinder, chose the number of dosing cycles and manually override the mixer.
"This latest and exciting development from Dott Bonapace provides the pharmaceutical industry with new possibilities," said Isopak's managing director Robin Davies.
"From initial discussions the machine has been very well received and we therefore anticipate a high level of input when the system is formally launched."
The standard format machine is 470x330x650mm in size and has anet weight 35Kg.
It needs single phase 230 volts mains supply and a compressed air supply of 30 l/minute at 6 bar and where required the unit can also be operated by foot pedal.
