Earlier this week Evonik acquired Amperkat catalysts from HC Starck and this has been followed by the purchase of MET. Evonik stated the MET acquisition taps a promising growth market for its high-performance polymer business.
“There will be a fast growing demand for energy & environmental friendly solutions like membrane based technologies”, explained Joachim Leluschko, head of Evonik’s high performance polymers business line.
He added: “MET’s proprietary technology complements Evonik’s process competence and global market presence very well and fastens our access to this attractive market.”
