The closure, which was reported by the Evansville Courier & Press, will result in the loss of 79 jobs. As well as quality control (QC) functions the site houses technical operations units, several research groups and a distribution centre,
The move was detailed in a letter the facilities general manager Bill Mitchell sent to Indiana’s “Dislocated Worker Program” earlier this month. B-MS will also shed 34 jobs from its manufacturing facility in nearby Mount Vernon.
B-MS is yet to issue a statement on the closure.
