The tubes are already being used by the firm of Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbH, as packaging units for 50, 100 and 250 tablets. The packaging tubes have been designed to offer tight seals, even after repeated opening and closing. Flexible spring elements in the stoppers prevent damage to the contents during transport and handling.
Poppelmann said the tubes “replace the hitherto customary – and costly – practice of developing products for individual applications by the production of low-cost, highly perfected standard products for a relatively large circle of users.”
