Cryopak Industries has struck a deal to supply GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) with insulated containers and internal thermal components for shipping of its temperature sensitive vaccines in Canada.

Since January of this year the organisation has made progress in expanding its presence in the pharmaceutical package segment, in particular with our recent entry into the European market.

This new program with GSK has already commenced and will be rolled out across Canada by the end of the year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are pleased today to be announcing our affiliation with another leader in the pharmaceutical industry," said Martin Carsky, president and CEO of Cryopak.

"We have developed a reputation in the industry for delivering quality products and services to our customers. We will continue to secure new business relationships of this magnitude," he added.

In June of this year, Cryopak announced a new agreement to provide Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines business of the Sanofi-Aventis Group, in France with critical cold chain components for shipments of its temperature sensitive vaccines.
