Medicago is investing $1.5m to expand its manufacturing facility in Quebec, Canada, as it attempts to ramp up production to ensure supply for its clinical trials.
The 2,500 sq ft expansion is intended to help Medicago produce enough of its H5N1 pandemic vaccine candidate for Phase II trials. Medicago has also acquired 100,000 sq ft of land adjacent to its current facility that will be used for further expansions in the next three years.
