India pharmaceutical firm Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has voluntarily recalled four lots drugs in the US after testing revealed that some may contain oversized tablets.

The recalled products are single batches of citalopram, fexofenadine, pravastatin and risperidone, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

A Dr Reddy’s spokesman told the paper that its analysis “suggests that the issue is isolated to four products, one specific lot per product, four lots in total.”

Dr Reddy’s joins Sun Pharmaceutical Industries US unit Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratoires, Lupin and KV Pharmaceuticals Ethex subsidiary on the list of manufacturers that have withdrawn batches of oversized tablets in the last 12 months.
