Buying the business will double manufacturing capacity at Repligen and expand its portfolio of growth factors and affinity ligands. Novozymes has long-term supply agreements for some of these products and Repligen expects revenues from these deals to accelerate its profitability push.
“Earlier this year we announced our strategic objective to transition into a commercially focused company, and the acquisition of the Novozymes business will deliver on that goal by significantly augmenting our product portfolio”, Walter Herlihy, president and CEO of Repligen, said.
