Bend and Merck will collaborate using the technology to solve formulation and process development problems. If necessary, Merck may also access Bend’s modified-release technologies and drug discovery formulation tools.

Bend is also working with Pfizer on a nanoparticle drug delivery system for treating osteoarthritis .
