DKSH lands Hayashibara drug excipients deal

Japanese excipient maker Hayashibara will access new markets through expanded deal with long-standing partner DKSH.

The new agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, will see Switzerland-headquartered DKSH distribute and market Hayashibara range of drug excipients in 26 markets around the world.

Okayama based Hayashibara said it selected DKSH based on its knowledge of the pharma market, registration process and its procurement network and added that the firm will also be involved in efforts to expand its biosimilars business in the future.

Perviously, DKSH has provided distribution services for Hayashibara’s range of personal care and cosmetics ingredients to customers around the world.
