Boston BioCom has produced HSP-avidin fusion protein for use in a self-assembling vaccines platform as part of collaboration between its Jantibody Therapeutics subsidiary and Pfenex.

The collaboration used the Pfenex Expression Technology platform to produce initial amounts of HSP-avidin fusion protein for the Jantibodies self-assembling vaccines platform.

Boston BioCom created Jantibody Therapeutics to commercialise a class immunologically-enhanced monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that use heat shock protein 70 (HSP 70). Research into the platform is initially focused on oncology and infectious diseases.

Furthermore, Boston BioCom believes the self-assembling HSP vaccine platform can be used to enhance the effectiveness of existing mAbs.
