US drug excipient body IPEC Americas will cosponsor a supply chain and anti-counterfeiting focused seminar at the annual meeting of International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) in Washington in June.
IPEC, who will run the meeting in partnership with ISPE, will host Ilisa Bernstein and Steven Silverman from the Food and Drug Administration as well as Brian Johnson and Janeen Skutnik from Pfizer, Zena Kaufman from Abbott and Thomas Zimmer from Boehringer INgelheim.
IPEC said that the event is intended to help the pharmaceutical industry address recent concerns about the integrity of today’s complex pharmaceutical supply chain and to help companies assure a safe, efficacious drug supply.
