India’s Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is worried about the FDA warning letter received by a Canadian manufacturing facility owned by its acquisition target Taro Pharmaceutical.

Sun told India’s Business Standard that: “We are quite concerned about this development,” which saw the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) criticise Taro’s plant in Brampton, Ontario that makes some of its leading brands like Dermovate, HydroVal, Ketoderm, Lyderm and Tiamol

Taro, which is currently appealing an Israeli court ruling in favour of Sun in the pair’s takeover tussle, said it will respond to the FDA’s criticism of the Brampton site in the next 30 days.
