Actors have their Oscars and musicians have their Grammy awards and the pharmaceutical industry is increasingly trying to recognise the achievements of its high fliers.

Under the inaugural GenerationNext awards, five young professionals working behind the scenes in pharmaceutical manufacturing will be recognised by their peers. The awards, which the organisers hope will identify future industry leaders, will be presented for achievements in technical, scientific or regulatory areas at the Interphex Conference and Exhibition in New York in March.

Industry professionals are invited to nominate colleagues and peers for the awards. Candidates must be under 35 and work in industry, academia, government or non-profit organisations, and may be involved in areas such as process development and engineering, quality control and assurance, analytical methods, drug delivery technology, IT, pharmaceutical manufacturing and research.

Nominations may be submitted individually or by colleagues and will require a description of the nominee's achievements that demonstrate their ability to lead and innovate. For more information about eligibility or to submit the nomination form online, >visit here.
