Pharmaceuticals with a street value of €2m ($2.7m), including 83,000 tablets of the “date rape” drug flunitrazepam, have been stolen from a North Dublin-based drug warehouse, according to reports in the Irish media.

While full details are yet to emerge the theft, which took place at the Baldoyle industrial estate early on Tuesday morning, it is known to include one million 7.5mg tablets of the powerful sedative zopiclone.

The Irish Times reports that the Gardai, the country’s police force, who warned that the stolen drugs are dangerous if consumed without medical supervision, are hopeful that CCTV footage will help identify the four men responsible for the raid.
